Natural Resources

Mt.Everest

Nepal is a small country but rich in resources. It has thousands of  beautiful Himalayas, many peaceful lakes, thousands of  hilly region,  Vally plan land which is  lesser in height , and beautiful river etc are main sources of natural beauty.

Different kinds of forest found in Nepal. Only 37% land occupies  by forest. Various climate forest are available here and the forest is different as different height from sea such as tall tress are in Vally plan land then goes decreasing and finally reach to no heights plant .

water:

 Nepal is rich in water resources i.e it is 2nd richest country for water.

main sources is river lakes etc..

water is uses for electricity generation ,crops and other purpose..

major Hydro-plant of Nepal:

        Kaligandaki: 144MW

         Marsyangdi: 75MW

        Kulekhani I: 60MW

    pokhara
        Bhote Koshi: 36MW

        Khimti: 60MW

        Kulekhani: 32MW



land/soils:
 only 17% land is cultivable contain terai region.
38% land is rockey that contain mountain also.

 Minerals   : 
 Nepal is quite rich in minerals...

Copper is found   on Buddha Khola (Bandipur), Gyari (Gorkha), Arghauli (Chisapani), Taplejung, Ilam, Baitadi, etc.

    Iron is found on Ramechhap, Pyuthan, Bhainse, Labdhi Khola, Phulchoki, Kulekhani, Bhutkhola,  and Ghatkhola,

    Mica is found on Bhojpur, Chainpur, Lamjung, Dhankuta, Nuwakot, and Sindhuligadhi

    Limestone is found on Chovar (Kathmandu), Baise (Makawanpur), Udayapur.
